DON'T FREAKING NECRO!!!!
Commandos
Moderators: warman45, Rev. Sylvanus
These forums don't have many people posting on them anyway, it's not a big deal to necro a thread. If we had more than 20 regular posters, fine. It's no big deal.
And to add something else to the conversation, this is what I have for my basic troops:
5CP
Skill (1d6)
Move (4”)
Armor (1d6+2)
Body Armor
And my "commandos", which are really just the heavy weapons guys, but could be used as commandos:
7CP
Skill (1d8)
Move (5”)
Armor (1d6+2)
Body Armor
Not that big of a difference.

For my armies, the word Commando doesn't mean anything by itself. For example, the Czechs main ground guys are Commandos, but they aren't an elite unit. Their elite unit is the Super Commandos... The regular Commandos are basically equivalent with the Assyrian Soldiers, but Assyrian Commandos are their elites. The difference though between the elites and the normal soldiers is that A: There are fewer elites and B: the elites get +2 on skill rolls and cost 1 more CP. They also look different from eachother.

personally, I use officer stats for elites but they don't get leadership
I am thinking about giving some of them(the best) elite feats, like heroic feats but the feat effects are like: roll to cover(see dive for cover but the elite remains standing and it only uses 1 more than the distance travelled in movement, no die roll). not all elites get this, only the best elites(for me, my hero is my ranger squad commander so the troops with elite feats are my rangers)

Heroism is not the ability to kick ass. It is the willingness to use this ability on any poor bastard who so much as looks at you funny.

That's not a commando. This is a commando:

You have been destroyed, wiped out, and disintegrated. Defeat is imminent.
Yes, the Walrus
The FCDAW is my running parody of conventional religion. I use it for all my BRikwars files for the simple reason that I'm too lazy to make another website. So there.

I admit I do like the Elite Feat.

Plastik Armory: a bunch of weapons and abilities compatible with the 2010 rules.
