Light bricks

The first season of Exo-Force sets came with light bricks, a clear brick featuring a tiny battery, an LED, and a simple switch. You can attach a small length of what is basically low-grade fiber-optic cable to it to redirect the light to another location, and the result can actually make transparent bricks or other such pieces glow.
My question is, has anyone found a good BrikWarsian use for these things? Besides the obvious Doomsday Weapon glow, I mean.

I'd say lava. Transparent red bricks instantly lose the 'congealed blood' look when you apply light to the underside.

How about laser tripwires to set off explosives hidden in the walls.

yeah, i don't think these will really serve as much more than aesthetic pieces.
CORRECTION: actually, you COULD say that attaching these bricks to objects will increase their power beyond normal thresholds, such as increasing a weapon's damage by a size level. it'd serve as like a super battery of some sort.

because an LED just dosen't pack the "umph" that a laser does.

Stick a lightsaber blade piece into the hole that the fiber optic cable normally goes into and you've got a convincing laser cannon. As far as Lego goes, at least.
I do like the idea of mounting it onto a vehicle for a power boost, though.

How about a clear brick featuring a tiny battery, an LED, and a simple switch that simply makes stuff look alot cooler than it not lighted up?

I am currently using them as Laser Designators to give a +1 skill bonus to all attacks on the designated target. Limit of one designation per target.

What exactly do you mean by "currently"? I have yet to see this...
