Also, the tiger was way too big and it's engines broke down ALL THE TIME. Germans often joked that more tigers were lost to empty gas tanks than enemy fire, and they just might be right. I personally give the award as a tie between the Panther and the Panzer IV, since they were far more reliable and effective.
Also, sure the sherman firefly (the british sherman variant) had a nicer AT gun, but the sherman was one of the better tanks of the war. Not only were they easy to fix and drive, but they were fast like all hell
. Also, for every one tiger they had, we had something like twelve shermans. Hell, even the front armor wasn't that
bad. It's that rear and side armor on the sherman that was absolutely terrible (they were designed to do a 1940s version of the cavalry charge, so most of the armor on these bad boys was on the front end).
