My Election Day scenario includes a press corps which can interview troopers and civilians. Cameras have the same stats as pistols, but when you overcome a minifig's AV they answer your questions instead of dying. Being interviewed takes away a minifig's Action, so the other armies have an excuse to slaughter any Press members who come close to them. Cameras could also be equipped with a telephoto lens (a 1X1 cylinder brick) to raise their stats to those of a rifle.
Just one random act of violence can brighten your day. Especially if it involves explosives.
