Is this normal?

Post by Cakeman » Sun Feb 17, 2019 9:32 am

I just started building something, it's half finished and now I'm takeing it apart because a canopy i want to use doesn't fit. Is this why I finish so few builds?

I do stuff like that. I don't have LDD or Studio, so there is no plan before hand.

Usually I've seen builds through to the end, but it's happened to me while trying to build a (much) smaller version of the Gekka that was supposed to be closer to the size of the actual knightmare frames. I couldn't find the right parts / sucked as a builder too much so I left it half-finished. So for my sake let's call it normal. :)

Speaking of the Gekka though, there was quite a long time in between when I built most of it and the arms. For a pretty long time, it was armless. Sometimes, you just need to step back and accept Rome wasn't built in a day (without going all Alarik on it).

Glad it's not only me. I'm not that organized, don't have everything thought out, and every plan is prone to change based on bricks available.

I can relate a lot. Focus and interest shifts :)

I like do this all the time, except with a live ecommerce site (my job), stained glass art, and hybrid cars.

FAILURE AND PROCRASTINATION ON A GREATER SCALE

Ok here's an idea; try finishing the build without the canopy.
