it should be legal, but only in certain areas. That way users who have gone overboard can be prevented from damageing themselves or others, and the amount of the drug used can be limeted. As an added bonus, gangs and terrorist organisations will no longer get nearly as mutch profit from growing the stuff if it's legalised. (thus makeing Iraq+Afgan waaaayyy easyer to docileise)

and I have medicinal reasons for using it. apparently it also works against my Giles de la Tourettes. boy was I surprised when my dad proposed that I maybe use it. (he doesn't drink, smoke or uses any kind of mind altering substance at all)

I reject the notion that some reasons for using pot (or any drug) are more legitimate than other reasons.

jmatthew was acting like if he smoked for medical reasons, that would somehow be a more acceptable reason than were he doing it to get high. I'm challenging this idea that getting high for the sake of getting high is in some way "unacceptable" or "illegitimate" as compared with doing it for medical reasons.
