Unusual Cercumstances

First a little background:
I suffer a little known mental condition Known as Nonverbal Learning Disorder (NLD). Long story short I am in a social skills class. Recently, we all sat down and decided what to do for the rest of the quarter. I had a little sugestion that would help teach teamwork and ability to lose. You geussed it: Brikwars. Unanimous agrrement after short explanation, we will all bring in our lego dudes on a certain day and divide our class of 8 into 2 sides, each composed of 4 allied armies. I'd say this is about as lucky as I could get. The only downside is no gore encomposing half the battlefield. Any suggestions on things I could do to make things run smoothly? Any stories of similar Incidents? Any mad rambleings leading to this thread derailing like a train with a ramp on the tracks? Any dispisal of huge wall of text? btw this will not last the whole quarter.

Natuarly, we plan to play in the way brikwars was intended: Blow stuff to hell and aim for mayham, not victory. To answer your quest, 1876 things. 2042 if unknown conditions come into play.

All I can say is that I think this will be an excellent learning experience. If not for you, then at least for the teachers and the team investigating the crime scene.

This is exactly what happens when me and seven of my friends get together every week as Defcon to play a game.

A turn takes an entire hour. Be warned.

From what I have figured out, each person will have 9 minifigs, 1 officer, 1 hero, and one vehicle. Initiate maddness. yet it might still be smaller than zombi zulu dawn.

That's a lot of units for a first game between that many people, my prediction is that you will be lucky to get within each other's weapon ranges before the whole thing bogs down.

You could try one Mini-Fig per player with two or three wounds per mini-fig and lots of pick up weapons and upgrade treasures hidden about the place for fun. Then you can make the battlefield fairly small, say 4-6x standard 32 stud base plates. Last man standing, no alliances at the end.

perhaps somthing abit smaller, like 2 minifigs and a hero, maybe some vehicles.

I presume you're going to do this by the Quikwars rules to start? That should simplify things.

seems like a good idea.I really want to include heros though, but I've got some time. Maybe I could just tell them "In hindsight, bad idea." and end it before it grows out of control.

Nah, it sounds like a good idea, really, and it shouldn't get too out of hand if you keep it as small as you're saying.
Also, you could always add heros to QuikWars, just give them better stats and allow Heroic feats.

Well, if the plan has been made and everyone has managed to signify their agreement to it, by stamping their feet or battering their heads off windows and such then just stick to the plan.
