Has anyone read the Hunt For Красный Октябрь By Tom Clancy, or seen the film? It's awesome!

In the russian i can read/sort of write.

There are two Russian alphabets, the current one and the soviet one. I can read the current(which was pre-russian and is used across eastern europe) but not soviet. My grandmother taught me.

Is he like the Kurgan in Highlander?

he's also trying to earn money so he can support them as best as he can. which is fairly hard as he doesn't speak dutch.
