My computer is making this loud and annoying noise whenever I turn it on like Bonn-o-Tron. It started doing that after I ended a non-responsive program. What's wrong with my computer and how do I solve the problem?
6. Try re-installing that program.
7. Un-install unnecessary stuff and delete crap you don't want (use CCleaner if you really wanna clean the house) this usually safes the CPU from processing to much unnecessary stuff, making it focus in what you want it to.
8. Check your cooling systems (Be careful if you do this, don't mess up the computers insides).
Hope I helped...

So if your hardrive is making a noise when you turn it on, then it settles down to a normal sound, its going bad.
This happened to me on a secondary computer. I only turned it on once a week so it lasted several months like that. If you are using it every day, back up all your data now and be mentally prepared to replace the hardrive when it dies.
If you don't know where the noise is coming from, well, it may be a fan so no big deal. Sometimes I would get noise from my graphics card fan. Hitting that with some canned air helps.
Switching the hard drive is easy, even I managed that one. The last PC I took to a tech they couldn't touch because all the parts where stolen. Never buy a PC's from a distant family in-law... or at least my distant family in-law.
backup all your data. You'll be happy once It does possibly break. Why? once I had age of mythology titans expansion, age of empires 3 and sims 3 plus civilization 4 beyond the sword and mokeyjam, quickcam software, and audacity, and then one day... Boom. every thing was gone. Please, backup your pc.
Now I need to figure how to make my parents buy a mother fucking new computer! My computer is super slow and I can't play a game without it lagging! But I gotta make do with it until I get a new one (when I'm 30. ).
Hey, I'm currently running on a computer from 2001. It has crashed once, and it has a temper of going slow at the randomest times, but other than that it's perfectly fine. That's why I scoff at people who complain about their computer being five years old, and how they need to get a new one because theirs is so out of date.
