Lego Universe Beta Testing

So, I was just checking my email and I saw one from Lego saying,"Congratulations! You have been selected for Lego Universe Closed-Beta Testing!". I was like, "Cool.". So I went and began to make my user and wasn't able to finish before they shut the game down until next Saturday. Are there any other Lego Universe Beta testers on this forum?

The lego company lied!!! in one of the faq's they said that it would be free!! But now they are charging a monthly subscription to play!!

What is this RJ again? The only place it ever said it would be free was in the wikipedia article, when people were just filling it up with their wishful thinking.
