20 minutes in, it totally sucks. It has 2 stars, but apparently they never watched the first 20 minutes.

I flipped channels to Warehouse 13, and watched Cloverfield during commercials.
I saw the helicopter get taken down and the guy with the camera got chomped on. Somehow a 150 foot tall monster snuck up on them, boo!

Recently, I was struck with the urge to watch a supremely bad movie - so right now I am sat here watching the 1998 american version of Godzilla . . . and I can proudly say that cloverfield ripped the ever loving crap outta this film.

Godzilla - Fun, for children and is sort of an ok to watch movie.
Cloverfield - Shit, takes itself almost seriously and the new age "I'm a douche" jokes are all wank, strictly for people into ipods and other such techno new age tosser gadgets and who go to work with a Costa coffee in hand and headphones and long shorts. You know who you are you Fuckers.

I was really looking forward to it. I admit I drank the Koolaid (marketing). So I was very sad when I realized I had been tricked. It sucked major big time IMO. 
Now Godzilla on the other hand, it depends what movie we are talking about. Some are way better then others.

I never saw the movie in theatre's. I saw it on FX for the first time last night. It was indeed meh. But, it was midly entertaining, and that's about all it had going for it.
