Soccer is a bunch of lean men handling a ball without using their hands, flopping all over the ground when they get hit, and generally just being whiny assholes all over a field.

American Football is a bunch of well-muscled Olympians lining up and beating the shit out of each other until the lines are broken and the offense takes the field. It's played out much more like a battle than any other sport. Fights breaking out is the fucking point of football. Saying that men tackling each other is not manly is like saying that fighting is not manly.

Baseball could possibly be the least manly sport. However, if the rules are changed so that it's a bunch of guys with baseball bats beating the crap out of each other while the pitchers snipe people with baseballs going 90 miles per hour, then it would me manlier than both combined. Weapons make everything manlier.

Soccer is a manly sport. Mostly because of the riots and whatnot.

Those have to do with whining, though. American football is all about beating each other up for no other reason than the other team looks different from you.

Soccer, while perhaps not MANLY, is a good sport in that it provides decent exercise and few injuries when not at a professional level.


IE: Football was made for stadiums and fans and television.
Soccer was made for backyards and you can get a game going with like 3-4 people to a team and it'll be really srs shit.


EDIT: Russian soccer is pretty manly, as it consists of some pretty intricate technique and kicking a ball up 200+ feet into the air as a 10 year old seems quite manly. Also theres a lot of swearing(in russian) which adds the manlyness of swearing and the manlyness of being russian into the equation.
