Sucker Punch: Reviewed for the Enlightened Brikwarrior

I just saw it yesterday with my girlfriend and my little sister who is almost exactly like me. My girlfriend was mildly entertained, while me and my sister probably peed our pants a few dozen times with looks on our faces that must have screamed of pure and unadulterated badassgasms. The story was pretty much a thin veil which served simply as a vehicle to deliver epic-fight-scene-music-video after epic-fight-scene-music-video. Anyone who loved 300 for exactly what it was though should also enjoy the tits out of this one.

Ohai you gaiz. I thought I'd necro this because I just saw it. Also because they aren't Hitler-loving Piltogg steam cyborg zombies, they're cyborg kaiser-loving steam hun zombies.

It's a trippy movie, and I assume it would be much better well stoned. The action is pretty good, but the main appeal seems to be hot chicks with modern weapons a mech, airplanes and the like are gunning down every cool villain in history.

It's a good(?)ish movie. It wasn't nearly as good as watchmen or 300(?) though.

I saw this with a few friends when it came out in theaters. Frankly? The plot and characterizations were awful. Action didn't even remotely make up for it. I felt like if they'ld spent another 6 months to refine the script and the concept, it might have been a "good film". In its released form, not so much.

That said: You are right about it being rather Brikwarsy.

Also: Any comparisons to Shutter Island, The Matrix, Watchmen or Inception speak too highly of Sucker Punch. Not even remotely in the same league.
