First off, I would like to say I am NOT another n00b who cannot figure out how to put a picture in a post.

My question is which image hosting site to use for my own pics (since I can't just insert ones saved on my computer).

The only two I know are Flikr and Photobucket (and maybe Brickshelf: does that work too?). Which one do y'all use, what's good/bad about both, and are there any others?

I suggest you use photobucket, that's what the (correct me if I'm wrong) majority of the forum uses and there are others like imageshack but mostly we use flickr or photobucket.

I prefer brickshelf its incredibly easy too use and have no limits on bandwidth or pictures.

I tend to put my images on a social networking site, set to private.

Flickr & Photbucket are good but use limits which can annoy people trying to see them, especially if you have many pictures uploaded (Natalya & J+B seem to have this problem). Brickshelf has no limits but uploaded pictures require moderation which can be lengthy.

I use photobucket, since it automatically has pictures at the size requirements of this site, and it's fast.

I use DropBox, so I can do anything I want.
Free version is 2 gig of space.

Its a file storage site, so you can't view images directly. You need to put them in web forums.

The only issue with brickshelf is that they limit what you can have on their site. If it is not Lego then it gets removed. So if you wanted to share something you drew, a cartoon, or anything like that Photobucket is much better.

I use Picasa from Google. You have one gig of storage. It is easy to sign up if you have a Gmail or other Google account. Only drawback is you have to download the software, but the plus is it comes with some basic image editing software (crop, re-size, color and contrast changes other touch ups and some effects (black and white, tint) also add text and stickers).

I've used Photobucket for about five years now. It's pretty reliable; pictures are sized well and there's no moderation problem that Brickshelf has. It'd go with Photobucket.

Keep away from at least Imageshack; it's terrible.

I use Flickr. I would use Brickshelf if it didn't take so long to upload my pics and they weren't in such a small size every time.

I used to use Brickshelf(But it was slow.)

Now I use Photobucket.
