Where to get uniforms.

Postby Bloodscorpion » Tue Aug 16, 2011 10:13 pm

A while ago, I decided to start playing Brikwars, and I decided to make a army, with a strict uniform, like the assyrian empire or the 45th union, or something like that. After browsing on teh internets for a while, I realized the closest thing I could get to a uniform is a bunch of lego star wars mandalorians with black motocycle helmets and visors slapped on from lego designbyme. but I want better then that. So where did you guys get those awesome uniforms?

Thanks

One word-

Bricklink.

If, y'know, links count as words. That's the ultimate parts trading site on the internet. Have fun.

Ross_Varn said it all.

Still, I have a lot of Star Wars stuff, which I use in my frequent themed battles. My Calvarian and ISRK troops are mostly the result of spending tons of cash on bricklink.

I've never bought Lego off of the internet, but all my armies are strictly color coded and organized. Battle packs are your friend, and lots of theme sets like Atlantis and Space themes have multiple of the same torso and minifigs within a set.

A goodly number of my Blacktron 1 torsos came via ebay, with probably a dozen each of the alienator, the battrax, and the invader, with three or four renegades and three or four message-intercept bases. Aside from that, bricklink is great and after-christmas sales are pretty nice.

That's very, very true. With a little effort, you can minimize your expenses however. Also watch out for greedy shop owners who charge ridiculous fees. Most are okay though.

i used two battle packs for the majority of my army. the Clone battle pack with the walker and the green amryman pack. Those two where the best ever. the newer more colorful clone packs have given me pause... i just don't know if i need all this rainbow for my troopers.
