Got my new ship date, went form Jan 9th to October 25th. Then I guess after that time ill be AFK for like .. a year or two. Might be a new golden age in the forum?

umm thanks all? and RoC77 im just going to basic for the USMC. Went to the recruiters today and did a Preship, sounds like ill be getting combat engineer so since the job i was going for does not have any slots open (linguist) so if all goes well it might only be like a year and half gone verse the 2+ with a year+ just for linguist school.

Well I leave for basic Oct 25th and thats .. 13 weeks long then I go to MCT (marine combat training) and thats 4 weeks i think.. then go to learn my MOS (job) and thats i think like 2+ months but not really sure. So I figure it will be a year roughly before I am able to get settled down and look at shipping my Legos out to where ever I live.
