(6) Is the cable Ok? Cables and connectors can easily get damaged.
(7) Is the USB port functioning with other devices?

Finally, someone helpful, thx Nun.

Yes the cable is fine, I know because the iPod still responds by charging up when connected to the PC. And yes, the hub is working with other devices.

Try it on another computer, too. Then another computer with another cable. Narrow down your problems.

Plus, everyone's been whiny on here lately. Is it that time of the month for you all?

They're booty bothered because I said bad stuff about the US when they said bad stuff about my country, I was over that until keldos post... :x
