Allied Nations Security Council Discussion Thread

Greetings, delegations from around the brik-verse!

You are representatives of your respective countries in the Allied Nations Security Council. Please remember to always keep decorum and respect the other delegates(pfft, like anyone’ll listen to that).

The Allied Nations Security Council is responsible for maintaining galactic peace and enforce the Allied Nations’ decisions. Consequently, it has the ability to pass binding resolutions, authorize peacekeeper missions, adopt economic sanctions, and recommend people to the Allied Criminal Court for minifig rights violations. This thread is in essence one long informal discussion forum unless otherwise noted.

For procedural matters, I’ll just roll a die to determine the vote as it’ll be inconvenient to hold an actual one for every little thing. However, we will conduct an actual vote when voting on resolutions. Remember, this council cannot officially do anything without passing a resolution.

I, Yerfmyr Mozzle, diplomat of the Silvarian Empire, demand that we, as members of the Allied Nations, get rid of the Undead, and give military support to those who are in fear, of being attacked, by undead.

The Calvarian military stands ready to support such a move. I think I speak for everyone in saying that they are a blight to us all, with the exception of some of the more benevolent apparitions.

The Undead? Bah! The RIN has no use for them, but other Third Alliance members use them as minions. I say we keep them. They add charm to the brikverse.

Yerfmyr Mozzle: The Silvarian Empire has fought the undead since it's inception, we will, dedicate trainers, weapons and soldiers, to a new undead fighting, task force. The King of the Silvarian Empire, has approved this plan, and with a grand knowledge of past wars, fought against the undead and daemons, suggests, that, we, of, the, ANSC, give the undead, no mercy.

Rebuttal: Our Empire was created to destroy two things: Tyrants and Undead. We have been fighting the Undead since we landed on Silvaria. Over hundreds of years, we've liberated many systems, and stopped the Daemonic forces under overwhelming odds in the Second Invasion of Candaria. Each Citizen is prepared to fight and kill the undead, in case our core worlds are invaded. We merely wish to give you guys the training we give our kids, so that the Undead will be less of a bother.

Britannian League Secretary William H. Gloucester: We must object to the Silvarians' genocidal tendencies. The fact is, creating an undead task force has logistical problems depending on the definition of Undead. For example, if you were to include Immortals in your definition, or Daemons, you would be forcing your values on other people. Yes, I agree with you that Daemons and Zombies are a problem among many empires, but they also help many other nations.

Starting a war amongst ourselves over a matter such as this would be stupid, not to mention that it would make ourselves weaker against the enemies we already have. How about we simply increase the level of defenses we have against the undead that wish to attack us instead of launching a full-scale campaign to annihilate them?
