I stayed out in the hot summer night until like 1 AM at some event tonight. During the afternoon was roller derby practice, which might as well have been out doors because the warehouse where we skate has no air conditioning so we just opened the bay doors. I really love this weather. It reminds me of the joys of nature. Sometimes (like yesterday) I will sit out on the deck behind the house for an hour just looking at the trees.

Sometimes (like yesterday) the Sin City Rollergirls have a double header so I just watch that instead. It reminds me of the joy of people smashing into each other.

Roller Derby's really huge here in the Springs (although I've got to get some time off to check it out). There is a guy's league starting up, but I think it defeats the purpose of roller derby? (Specifically, I think guy's roller derby is just hockey without weapons)
