Movie summer kits, ninjago dojo, HF and the fire&ice chima range are amazing. Ultra agents feel a bit of a letdown

Well it looks like Apollyon's lucky year, since that big yellow mech with feet treads is out.

Here's another 2014 shelf warmer (if the 10 dollar price is to be believed)

Fuck you, droids are awesome, and that Mini Tankette is awesome as well...
Battlegrinder wrote:I bought the battle droid carrier set back when it came out, but I don't think the droids lasted more than a few weeks before their joints got so loose they were falling apart. I've heard the newer battle droids don't have that issue, but between what happened to my first bunch and the wear that my general Grievous mini is showing, I'm not interested in building a collection (plus, they don't fit my army's theme anyway). If you ever need robots, I'd suggest getting the ones from exo-force, they hold up as well as minifigs and look awesome.
Well when did you get it?

Had droids with TERRIBLE plastic quality, with most cracking with barely any play and scaring me off Droids for years…
I ordered extra arms for Manly Santa Day just to replace the ones from this set.

Nope, I'm pretty sure that is Transparent Bright Orange...

I'm prohibited from commenting on any specific theme idea. But I'll tell you what I told everyone else: no AFOL has ever told me an idea that I haven't seen already concepted out and ready for development, and that's still true after reading your idea.

And keep in mind that I haven't seen the concept archives in years. So this is even not counting whatever new stuff they've come up since then.

Keep in mind that stuff always gets watered way down by Lego between concept and development.

But yeah, some variety of lego pr0n is typically the first or second thing AFOLs suggest to me.

Found pictures of 2014 summer HF sets, they pretty much look like final product shots:

I would have preferred them to use more bipedal walkers but iguess these work as well. Monsters look great, very zerg/tyranid.

Those minifigs are cool as hell, but I don't really like the mech design.

What about Raccoons versus Venus Fly Traps?

What about a Lego theme based off of the tale of Genji?

This sounds like some kind of weird version of rule 34.

But who really cares anyway? Remember, it was already decided in the beginning that Space and Castle would be the best themes. They dominate the other themes with their un-matched coolness. All others are mere ants compared to the god-like Deadly Space Men from the future and the old Knights of the past.

Again, I still have not yet heard an idea that we didn't have concepted out. I'll note that K'nex ended up being the ones to get the Mario license though.
