Nah, I thought each book cheapened the universe a little bit more. By the sixth one I didn't even like Dune anymore.Apollyon wrote:And the prequels. Actually, everything Anderson and Herbert jr. wrote never existed!Keldoclock wrote:Just don't read the sequels!
Dune Messiah, Children, God Emperor, Heretics and Chapterhouse are just as awesome as the first book.

Yeah, I agree. It's a great story and well written.. no doubt. However it just seemed like it was a documentary about Dune. Even the exciting, action, parts read like a reported account... I didn't feel like I was there; immersed in it.IVhorseman wrote:Man, I thought Dune was really dry reading.

Idunno, I liked the DOS Dune games, although I played more Warcraft than Dune2.

Re: The official LOOT topic
Ha! I remember buying Dune 2 for a quid or something at the London Virgin Megastore when it was still fullprice over here. These were the days when CD-ROM drives were still new and i remember throngs of people gawking at a Rebel Assault demo in the same place. Fond memories...Zahru II wrote:Idunno, I liked the DOS Dune games, although I played more Warcraft than Dune2.
