Advertising, Advertising, Advertising, Fix Vista...

This is just a simple little vignette I whipped up as a birthday gift for my Apple-crazed dad.

No shame in that. The flaws of a PC are terribly exaggerated in those commercials. I haven't had a blue screen of death since...... I was a really little kid. Seriously though, macs crash at least just as often as PCs. It's retarded to think otherwise.

I didn't build this to express a disdain for PCs, just as a gift to my Apple-loving dad. Just FYI.

Actually, even though I own a Mac, I really don't mind PCs. They've got a lot of things that Macs don't have. My only kibble is that you've got to install anti-virus software or your computer is dead. I've got a PC on my Intel Mac, and I use it to play games and stuff.

I like XP (Windows 2001). Vista sucks. My dad ends up causing a unamountable amount of lag wherever he goes on roblox with it.

I'm a PC, but we don't use vista. We'll use XP till it stops getting supported, then we're going linex.

I'm not a big computer person, I just know how to run it and that's about it, so differences in computing power aren't that big of a deal to me.

All I know is that I've used PCs my entire life. I've used Macs before and because I have only used PCs, Macs are just wicked awkward to me.

As for XP versus Vista I can't honestly tell the difference. I mean, I know stuff about computers, I can do computer stuff, and I can see the differences, but theydon't seem bad to me. They're just different.

Actually, Vista can randomly give you a whole slew of problems. My friend's was so glitched (and his dad builds computers for a living), that they went back to XP because there entire system crashed.

I've been using both PC and Mac my whole life, so I'm used to both. I sometimes miss those gigantic heavy ugly-looking square monitors, though, and the huge rectangular noisy PCs. But my room has space constraints (too many Legos), so a Mac (uber-thin, no rectangular tower) works perfectly.

Actually, Vista isn't really all that terrible. Microsoft Office 2007 is the real problem, and since it's packaged with vista and the most used application, the association leads to people saying vista sucks.

I'm a PC, and I use Vista. If you actually try it, it works.

It was actually kind of funny. It was glitched so bad that if you tried to do ANYTHING, and I mean anything, a window would pop up and say "Are you sure you want to proceed with this action?". So say you wanted to type in 'lego' on the google bar. First, you would have to open IE. "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO PROCEED WITH THIA ACTION?" you click yes. Then you click in the Google bar "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO PROCEED WITH THIA ACTION?" you click yes. Then you press 'l' on your keyboard. "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO PROCEED WITH THIA ACTION?" and on and on.. eventually there entire system crashed, and his dad had to build a new one of those giant black humming tower computers from scratch.
