CAD-02 Civilian Hovertruck

Post by birdman » Mon Jan 19, 2009 11:31 am

This is a civilian hovertruck my army has commandeered to provide a transport for the commander and his bodyguard. I usually keep it unarmed, to boost the speed, but i have a turret that i can replace the blue piece with. stats available on request.
View of the hovertruck altogether.

That's where my cousin snapped the connector off of my vintage rock raider chassis, making this a hover vehicle and not a wheeled or tracked one.

View of the interior. Seats three to four minifigs, plus a pilot.

I think this matches the quality of your JUG-600 Juggernaut Heavy Combat Transport i would try harder if i were you.

The colors for one the pieces are mixed again and the design is worse then your other creation.

again, the colors are intended to be mixed, and what exactly is wrong with the design? i don't see anyone else complaining.

Your design is very blocky for a hover craft and the once again the colors make it look all the more worse. I advise you stop making rainbow colored things and go for single colors it make ever thing look much more professional. Another thing is the gray piece at the bottom is broken which i know you can't help. But i try to not use broken pieces and think it would be a good idea for you to do that same.

ya, i know. i gave my cousin a good chewing out when i found out that he broke it, but hay, can't help it now. My army is rainbow-themed at the moment and i like my models the way they are. Hover is, i suppose, a misnomer in this case, because i wanted it to be A-grav, but the name didn't sound as nice. it reminds me a bit of the star wars chariot LAV, which was an a-grav vehicle.

Holy crap. You are an imbecile, aren't you? Who says he isn't trying? Who says he has some massive amount of the same colored pieces?

O my ok first i am not a imbecile I wish you new people would show a little respect for the people who have been here a lot longer then you. Second most people have at least some pieces that are the same color. Even if he does not which is not likely can can use the multicolored pieces in coordination.

ah, but j+b, the whole point is that it isn't color coordinated. my army doesn't have time to slap on a whole new patch of paint every time something gets damaged, so it builds up over time until you get crappy-looking vehicles. (i'm big on battle damage)

That may be but people in this world have opinions and if you don't want people to make fun you your stuff then you need to bend to there opinions a little. That or do something like a-tree and just make a new genre that people think is cool. So i see that you are going for the rainbow colors here and that's fine its just that most people will think you don't know how to build become you build that way. Rainbow building is for the most part considered junky and amateur. so by all means build rainbow just know that if you ever get out of the rainbow group and in to the "real world" as for as building goes you will be laughed at for the colors.

Hmmm. Too blocky and too much different colors.
