It should drop an AT-TE, not this AT-OT.

^Yes! It's protected, more manueverable, better armed, and can hold 4 more troops than an "AT-OT".
I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

Besides, people are a lot more aware of AT-TE, since it actually apears a lot on Ep.II and the dropship drops one AT-TE, so.

The AT-TE is also a more parts-intensive set, which would drive the price up even MORE.

So? At least it would be better.

Imagine the UCS Millenium Falcon. People still buy it, despite its cost.

I have the AT-TE. It does have a lot of parts, but it is an entertaining build, and a cool finished product. They probably picked the AT-OT because it wouldent take as many parts. They already sell the AT-TE in another set which pushes a hundred dollars, and if they included the dropship, it would go over a hundred, which lessens the appeal. I think it is one of the design/final product rules of lego, where most sets should go for under a hundred.

Point. I'm talking in American dollars. Isn't their main market America?

But LEGO® is mainly made in Europe. Grrrrr...

You need to be richer in Europe to be a LEGO® user and that makes me mad, especially because of what I stated above.

Yeah...

With both the dropship and the AT-TE in one set, it would probably hit 200 bucks. Very unappealing to the average kid's budget.

Then again, you could probably figure out a mod for the dropship that lets it carry the AT-TE...

Someone will do it. Sooner than you can imagine.

I have both sets (7675 and 10195).

You pull the pin on the carry handle for the AT-TE and move it further down. Works fine. Only problem is that the AT-TE's dorsal rail cannon is too long to fit facing forward.

Now, the OLD AT-TE (4482), that won't work so well. The Clone Wars model is designed from the ground up to be picked up from a single point; all the load bearing components are locked together with technic bricks. The older model wasn't quite so sturdy.

As for the cost...
Tabletop gaming has never really been for children. What Lego has done with the Star Wars line has brought them in direct competition with Games Workshop. A hundred dollar AT-TE seems expensive until you realize that the people who are buying them would previously have been shelling out multiple hundreds for Forgeworld Baneblade kits, which aren't even readily customizable or destructible like Legos.

Gaming with Legos makes battle damage and debris a practical consideration, as well as battlefield engineering.

I don't know what you mean this set (10195) is already over 200 dollars it cost 250 if it had an AT-TE it'd be 300+

I didn't price it. The designers probubly have a rule were if it goes over 100, it had better be something a whole lot of people want. The designer sets are 300+ and made for adults with money, not kids, who would be the ones who would buy this set..
