HK 33

Post by BFenix » Mon Mar 15, 2010 9:28 am

So I had this weapon variant from one of my previous Bionicle MOCs (the Godslayer) just laying around in my main building box and I knew I had to build something for it. I had the idea of building this kind of construction long ago, but my spinal design really gave it the spark it needed!
So without furtherado, presenting:

The HK 33 Heavy Drone. The Hunter Killer was designed to serve has a heavy duty frontline and behind-enemy-lines AI killing machine. Its original concept was has a exterminator droid to scavenge important remains from the best taken down enemies and search for stragglers or injured infantry to POW status. Yet, the project was so well financed and had so many new technologies applied that size, power and intelligence got to the top!
Still serving for its original purpose, the equipment the HK now holds makes him a deadly opponent in any environment and against any type of foe. Armed with razor sharp claw feet, 2 IPR Automatic Cannons and an incredible CPU equipped with all kinds of tracking devices, the Hunter Killer is ready for the smartest field rats!
Yet so much power has also some drawbacks. The mono-eye camera is the only visual element that keeps it rolling, if destroyed or damaged, the HK turns into a sitting duck. Also, the cybernetic spine design to provide the quickest time/reaction is the main weak-spot. Like a human, the destruction or damaging of this component might leave the HK limited to certain actions or even completely KIA.

Enough chit-chat, timez forz za pikz:

It looks like the Xenomorph, a Bayounikal and the Terminator had a threesome. :P That said, it really doesn't look all that bad.

Really, really awesome looking. I like the role you had planned for it, and the mental image of this thing tearing apart an entire squad of infantry while a Hero desperately tries to climb up the frame and shoot it point-blank in the eye.

its no big deal taking good pics really, just some cardboard, good lighting, good camera and patience is all you need. and these aint hard to find
I guess our brikwarriors here are just desperately greedy to have their machines in action then in the photo session  8)

I actually pictured something like that to, but with a squad of retreating infantry injured from a failed assault and only the hero saves the few rest of his men... :)

That thing is just plain awesome. It looks like it's straight out of some sci-fi horror movie.

Unless, of course, we're talking about Halo...
Sorry, had to throw that in there.
I'm curious about the spine too, how did you manage to attach so many of those pieces so close together?
