BrickArms 2010 - WWII

Post by the enigma that is badger » Sat May 01, 2010 12:42 am

BrickArms continues its tradition of top-notch WWII custom accessories with this latest wave for 2010! It's chock full of great accessories, but probably the biggest news is that Will has now entered the realm of headgear with the BrickArms M1 Pot and Stahlhelm helmets!

Image

Brand new additions to the BrickArms line-up:

- M1 Pot Helmet
- Stahlhelm Helmet
- BAR
- MG42 with Ammo Drum
- M1 Carbine
- StG44 Vampir
- M1917 Revolver
- P08 Luger
- PPSh with Barrel Magazine
- Medkit with production silver Scalpel and trans-clear Syringe

And two new figs with custom printed torsos! No decals here folks; we're talking pad-printed designs right onto the torso!

- US Rifle Squad Soldier
- German Heer Soldier

Here are some shots I took comparing the BrickArms M1 Pot Helmet to what is currently available from other sources:

Look forward to even more great products from BrickArms throughout 2010!

Personally? I'm just waiting for some of the Sci-fi pack's weapons to be available individually. Namely the Needler and the Plasma Sword and Phaser. Cause we've been waiting for those for, what... A year and a half now? Just a plain purple or blue needler, hell, even silver or black, without the having to buy a pack, will be awesome.

Now, that said, there is one item I am excited about: The return of the Medkit. I missed it last time, and I'm not going to make that mistake again. Plus, with lego's recent Syringe, I'll have two varieties to chose from! And it's about time to get that Boom Box I've been eyeing too...

the Stahlhelm helmets look very awesome, but the machine gun still looks pretty rough from what I am seeing, unless it's just a prototype or something.

Helmets and guys look great as usual.

Too bad everything is bundled into a $25 package. If I wanted 5 guys I don't need 5 bazookas etc...

I'm not gonna lie, that was my immediate reaction too. Really wanted to get my paws on some XM... err... AC8s.

That being said, wow, I did not expect this many weapons released this soon in the year. Pretty impressive offering. I hope Will pays his kids overtime to keep up with all the orders he's gonna be getting in the next week.

Rest assured, as big as this release is, Will has even more in store for 2010, and that definitely includes releasing all the 2010 Scifi Pack accessories as individual items in multiple colors. It's still hard to say exactly when this will occur given just how busy Will is likely to be with this latest release, but I can tell you they are coming along with more than a few other great surprises!

good thing I waited a while before placing my order, shame I've got to keep waiting, my finances are F*cked up after some pretty crappy queens day stuff

They look awesome, but Oxford is cheaper :\
Of course, Oxford's weapons are nowhere near as good, but, well, they're still cheaper. I'll post a pic of an Oxford ROK armed forces battle tank in Armory later, it was about twenty bucks when I bought it.
That said, I'd love to get my hands on a few of those sci-fi weapons too.
