A Universal Forum Micro Space Scale
I want to know what Warhead Scale is, Also it seems too big for MicroS, as it involves lots of big blocky ships, not the sleek ships we often see. i think we need a universal forum scale.

Ah-hahaha, I love how you take everything about me as a personal insult. That last post was practically dripping with derision and scorn. Hehe, priceless. It truly is though.
These pics are all from the net. Bigger scale than what you might consider to be Micro Scale. Bigger means more room for detail. Oh, and go blocky yourself you insulting wee arsehole from what I've seen after searching the forum I would say Micro Scale appears more BLOCKY so far. As to why some people want to call it Warhead scale *shrug* cause they like me and think you're a wee git.

Idea:-
4 studs for corvette?
10 studs for frigate?
15 studs for destroyer?
22 studs for cruiser?
27 studs for Battleship/dread?
with other ship classes.

Haha, yeah, maybe your right but I gotta say going on instinct, I definitely get your goat.
You're far too linear and ordered in your head why does everything need to be uniform. We are hardly ever going to play against one another so..? And when it comes to LDD it would be a simple matter of enlarging or decreasing the scale, ok that's added hassle but you'd do it just like I would to make it work.
Look, this is my approach. Build ship sticking things on that look good. Once finished try to come up with an excuses as to what it is and why it's so big and talk shit in the hope that everyone likes it and agrees. Taa-da!

If Lego took that approach the Lego would not work. Also If people started doing forum battles with LDD micro-space it'd help to have a set scale guide.Warhead wrote:Haha, yeah, maybe your right but I gotta say going on instinct, I definitely get your goat.![]()

Warhead scale is actually what most non-Brikwars builders consider "micro scale". The microships most people (including me) build are too small for any real detail. They're convenient for gaming but, in general, not very good quality in terms of design and construction.
Also, Warhead, you get around quite a lot... those pictures all bring back memories of the MOCpages/Classic-space golden age, before the Clonetards came. Sigh...

Warhead Scale is BIG! Bigger AND Widerer. Ah-hahaha.
*cough* hehe.
Thanks Blackdog, I saw your Micro Scales and although they are VERY nice I thought the size too small for what I had in mind when I did the Britannian and Assyrian ships. I just felt more comfortable building to a bigger scale.
@Dilanski: I very much think you are wrong and rather up yourself but I'm me and I do things very differently from you so who can say there IS a Right or a Wrong way to build. I am not Lego I'm just a builder but I'm sure the whole process that Lego goes through isn't just about schematics, planning and robot like order otherwise it would be rather dull and unimaginative... and then they would start ripping off movies instead of following their own ideas... oh, ah, yes well... h'mm.

I was refering to the individual brick designs themselves.Warhead wrote:@Dilanski: I very much think you are wrong and rather up yourself but I'm me and I do things very differently from you so who can say there IS a Right or a Wrong way to build. One thing i originally wanted from the Scythian ship designs where angular, spartan ships - lots of angles, straights and curves with either black or red as thier colour scheme.
The first models where pretty basic, mostly consisting of plates and pieces along those lines, which would be useful for playing with mass ships, but not exactly the most aesthetically pleasing of ships. When I saw Warhead put up his ships in ZZD, I saw what could be done by just upping the scale a little - and put myself to work on the Scythian Monarch class, which has since provided the base size for the rest of the ships I've produced - Hence "The Warhead Scale"
And if this is going to be an argument of scale, wouldn't it be up to the players of the game to decide amongst themselves? Does it have to be a completely universal scale considering this is a game based upon fudge? and when it comes down to the creation of truly awesome models to blow to tiny little pieces, would you rather have this on the table? This -

You have a point but i think it's a good challenge to try make smaller ships look good, like my frigate i uploaded to the wiki, when i have time i have a comparison chart of most of my ships and your emperor class i'll upload. The Shadowscythe wrote:One thing I originally wanted from the Scythian ship designs where angular, spartan ships - lots of angles, straights and curves with either black or red as thier colour scheme.
