Technically it is an mmo, the towns and such have everyone, and then you can tackle the normal areas by yourself, or get together a party.

Funny, that's exactly what Diablo II is, made by Blizzard who also owns the largest monthly fee MMO, and Diablo II is ALSO free!

To Scottsamn: Most MMORPGs have several different ways to pay your monthly fee.

1. Monthly (most expensive)
2. Every three months (you get a discount)
3. Twice a year (bigger discount)
4. Yearly (biggest discount)
5. Pre-paid cards (like numbers 2 and 3)

Most likely LU will have all of these payment types, and the $90 yearly fee is just the cheapest, so that's the one they advertise. Also, if a parent sees the yearly fee right off the bat, that's what they're going to buy, keeping their kids in the game.

For those of you bitching and moaning about monthly costs, you can have private servers that are free to play on MMO's, but there's no one on them at all.

Well since im to lazy to check how much the yearly fee is in swedish kronor i don't really know how large amount of cash there is .But i have to agree with stubby the lego company has spent quite a bit of time and money on this game.

i mean if you really really really want to play then stop whining and pay the fee. Or you can just download the free release of mechwarrior 4 mercenaries and be awesome like me

Honestly I've put in something like 9 days worth of play into MW2, and I paid 55 bucks for it one time. If you want to be a cheap-ass and get a long run out of one game, Duty seems to be the way to go.

Seriously though, I play Call of Duty several times a week and have for the past couple years. I have never even tried the single player campaign.

Yeah I guess the only part that it would not fill is for those RTS and RPG type players but i am sure there is COD like quality equivalent for the genre.

Resistance is also a pretty fun game, I've gone back to it a couple times already. Plus, I got it for a good price since it's a semi-old game (3-4 years isn't THAT old I know, but they've got a sequel too, and retail years are much more significant than regular years). Sad thing is, they only have one type of collectible, but I'd still say it's worth the buy.

Also for you 3rd person game fans (like myself), there's Uncharted 2, great single player, great multiplayer, 101 treasures to find and lots of unlockable stuff. Also, they've added some neat stuff as DLC for multiplayer.
