The point of a sword is not to cut through another sword, but to cut through the person wielding it.
So youd cut the the sword in half then kill the guy.

It really is best if you didn't cut the sword first, it kinda saves some energy if all you have to cut is soft flesh, instead of metal swords and stuff

I even know the type of chainmaille that would cover the joints. It wouldn't make sence if the rest was weaker.

Also who wants to break a perfectly good LEGO sword every time you have a duel in a game? One of my castle swords broke by accident in 1997, and I'm still pissed off about it.

now I have many chrome swords with mangled tops.

bamboo's actually very strong wood, that resists cutting.
