See, that's the beauty of the table. You don't need a permit!

... dammit anon.

although, as far as "improvised weapons", i've grown really, really, REALLY fond of trench shovels. not only is it a bladed metal thing on the end of an excellently weighted stick (able for use as slashing OR bashing), but also hey! free shovel! you can dig stuff!

EDIT: crowbars come in a close second, but they're heavier and harder to swing accurately. still, gordon makes a point.

I'm off now to go break open some boxes with my crowbar.

So you've gone from Samurai vs Knights to Tables vs Crowbars. The problem with all this discussion is that it isn't one that can really be won. And when presented with an unwinable situation, the best course of action is to tangent heroically. Besides, I'd go so far to say that it's more important who the person wearing the armor or using the blade is. For example, Sir Issac Newton, while knighted, would have likely proved largely ineffective in combat. Unless he was fighting with the power of math.

yes... but math really is rather powerfull
nukes would never have existed without math..

If we want to talk about powerful weapons, then let's talk ladders.

First you can use it like a blunt spear, a steel chair and spin around with it if you're a hardcore superstar.

Also you can jump off it and elbow drop someone or whatever else pro-wrestlers do with them.

Both knights AND samurai are insignificant compared to the power of the force. (a.k.a. My Little Ponies)

Ten bucks says I beat My Little Ponies before he even get's within 10ft of me, because my ladder is 15ft so I can ladder pwn him with about 3ft to spare.

OK, now I'm going to walk into your house while wearing knight armour and attack you with my RAL (Random Assault Ladder) fear that clumsy man!
