Did anyone else see this info about Hasbro going into the "Lego Knock-Off" market?

Huh. Maybe there'll be a few unique pieces to make them worthwhile.
Anyone remamber the Built To Rule Transformers? Those were awful

Yeah, it looks iffy-ish. But definitely a step-up from the built to rule line back in 2003.

Shiver me timber even today.

I doubt it... look at the Transformers set, pretty much every piece is an exact copy of something LEGO has made except for the head. It's not just a rip-off, it's the least creative ripoff I've ever seen barring the made-in-China direct copies. Even Mega Bloks had a couple pieces (well... one piece) worth hanging on to.

Which? Just curious.

Btw yes, the only parts that make me slightly interested are the heads, as they're quite well-done.

I agree, I can just see a squad of the Mega-Tron mini-figs punching it out with a squad of Vinx troopers.

One Megabloks piece he might be talking about is the 2x2 plate with studs on both sides...

I don't know, I like the pieces that are like one of these cut in half.

I'd say these don't look too bad, but I still won't be buying any.

Either way, it's still using the classic "compatible with Lego" as a fallback for failure, so they're obviously not too sure about it themselves. Even more reason not to get any.
