It depends. Some sci-fi thingies have machines to refine the atmosphere. Also, I would much rather be able to place all criminals from across 50 planets onto one other planet without a way off.

It probably wouldn't work anyway, as there would always be secret organizations going to said planet and taking people off, which defeats the purpose.

doubt it would be any kind of open prison, but all the parts and centers would be spread out, if a riot started in one prison center, guards would be able to deal with it without other prisoners knowing and starting subsequent riots.

Sounds like an epic brikwars game with various stripped down tanks and technology, ending in an orbital bombardment. Like Big Brother but with less bitching and more shooting.

On paper it's a kool idea, but I can see prisoners buddies trying to send a ship to extract them or quickly dropping off, they'll get tech there somehow and mess it up. I'm more for either gladitorial combat or organ harvesting... or BOTH!

As for the Brikwars train battle, that's a pretty good idea. Not sure the train could support enough factions for an all out forum battle, though. Maybe if you limited it to 1-2 minifigs per player...

why not multiple trains along side each other?

I have one question: "Why a hover prison train??" Was that an idea from that website which mixed random Lego themes together to some ridiculous mashups?
Of course i realize this question is ultimately irrelevant since in Brikwars everything has the purpose of getting eventually blown up but still... wtf?

What you need to do is drop the criminals onto the planet and let them fend for themselves. Don't give them any technology, just drop them all on a planet that is habitable. Without any technology, they can't get off unless they mine and refine all the materials, which is highly unlikely.

And then make it a reality tv show.
