Look What the Lego Company Sent Me

Post by ace121 » Thu Jul 03, 2008 4:25 pm

You know those ads on the back of new instructions? The ones that advertise filling out a poll and having a chance to win prizes? Well, I did, and they sent me this one week ago. Free of charge. No s+h. Fantastic; it's my only non-minifig scale Lego though:

I, of course, entered the survey with it as soon as I built it, to win more ;)

Just wanted to let the community know that it actually is easy to win those prizes, though it seems like they ignore your submissions.

Yeah, they just opened a new LEGO store (the first and only in Texas) about 3 miles from where I live about three weeks ago. So far, I have been very, very impressed with the amount of costumer loyalty that they show.

When you get a new Lego, on the box, instruction book, or even on the brickset page for that item, you can find a number. This number is the ID number for the set and can be found in the top left, I believe, of the box. Maybe, the top right...

How many times you answered the poll to get hit by the Luck godess?

Um... over 100 times, but hey, I didn't lie! As I stated in my welcome, I spend about $500 on lego a year, and last year I spent nearly a thousand.

Good. Who pays it? You or your parents?

Who is your daddy, and what does he do?

I pay of course. My occupation is babysitter, and I have nothing better to spend on than Lego (and girls). Go Lego (and girls)!

Congratulations man. I saw that in their catalog and it looked awesome. Are you going to keep it together or dismantle it for parts?
