Adventurers or Indiana Jones?

Postby Emporor2000 » Mon Jul 28, 2008 10:47 am

Does anyone, like me, think that another Adventurers LEGO theme with characters like Johnny thunder, would have been better than an Indiana Jones one?

I think so too. Indiana Jones is very sticky to the movies, and an original one could be about any subtheme.

But Indiana Jones' sets are cool too.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Doc. They were 100000000xBetter than the peach excuses for minifigs being sold now. I mean, IJ is cool, but another adventurers would have been slightly better.

Then again... I do like the Nazis and Ruskies... They do help for a WWII battle...

Yeah. Like one out of 5 IJ sets are awesome, but 10/10 Adv sets are awesome. I used to be a huge Adventurers fan, I changed my base into a jungle/desert and built huge temples and bought tons of sets. I still have a bunch of the sets intact too. Overall one of the best lines EVAR.

I still have to toot the Horn of Ossumness about the Jungle Cutter set that I bought. That thing will wreck shop on a Brik Wards field... especially once I modify it to be more of a tank. Buzzsaw Tank of Doomdeath!

However, it is infuriating that all of them are peachies. That sucks for all the new Star Wars stuff too. I have an old Phantom Menace set where Qui-Gon is actually yellow!
:D

And then you throw in the fact that the Nazis aren't actually "Nazis" because LEGO is a German based company and it is a little silly.

I have a yellow Luke, but I would kill for yellow Qui-Gon and young Obi-Wan.
