U.G.A. "Shredder" Anti-Air Gun

The U.G.A. Anti-Air gun, named the "Shredder" for obvious reasons, has a design similar to the Hammerfist, with large amounts of armor plating in the front. It has a very high rate of fire, almost 20 bullets per second. Ammunition is fed through the side, by a long "belt". It is quite efficient in destroying aircraft, though a common weakness is that enemy infantry will occasionally hit the ammo feed, causing a rather unfortunate explosion.

There's also a panel to shield the gunner from discarded shells while he's shooting.

Movie style shot. Gotta love epic "Why am I standing next to this guy?" moments.

"Ouch. Sucks to be you."

[insert obvious comment here]
There's just one more to go. Expect it sometime Sunday.

I really like the bullets being fed into the gun. Excellent use of the "vented brick" (for lack of a better term).

Very nice, I hope it does good in battle. How bad is the explosion?

calculating stats for AA guns always makes me angry. lots of them technically ARE rapid-fire explosive weapons, but calculating the UR of something that fires several rounds per second and explodes on contact is a bitch.

so far, what i DID end up coming up with in a similar vein are Armor-Piercing rounds from an automatic gun. It'd work basically the same way automatic weapons work for other weapons, except instead of doing +1 damage for every skill point you go above the UR, it does +1d6 damage points. keep in mind that the UR for something like this would be high, so the excess skill would be low.

you can always just assume that all AA guns are treated like flak cannons, and then use minefield rules for calculating hits.
