It would be a good way to get a hero somewhere. Rocket him across the field in one turn, then have him aim the plane at an enemy unit and use a Stupendous Feat to leap out of the cockpit and land at his destination.
Just one random act of violence can brighten your day. Especially if it involves explosives.
