Music videos are pretty hard to do in stop-mo. It would take awhile. Unless you did one frame a second. In that case, I could do it in a day.

It dosn't have to flow with the music, Just film brikwar like scenes to be put into the film.

I will try to make the clips flow myself (when I put it all together).

I would actually suggest making this a sort of community project, where people could submit stop-motion clips which you could use. It might be better than one person doing everything.

This sounds like a great idea.

But I have to tell you, that I didn't know most of the songs on your list - I am feeling real OLD!

Anyway, good luck with your project and I look forward to seeing the final piece of work.

Well, instead of having one person do everything, you could let multiple people submit clips. Then you could put them all together. Like a community project. Then in the credits you could list all of the people who contributed.

Hey, how come nobodys submiting clips? Is asking that you
Moronstudios wrote:just send me a video via pm with the fallowing criteria.
1: wmv format
2: some king of signature in the video showing you made it
3: no sound
If you do stop motion, you don’t have to do this, I just don’t want to have to animate a whole song myself.
If you do make a video, please have it in by February 1st
to much.
The reasons for the criteria are:
1.The format needs to be WMV for the Program I'm going to put it together with
2. So people know who made what scenes
3. Sound would ruin the music.

Damn! Hold your horses! It's hardly been three days yet, you need to relax a little bit.

1. Animation is a lot of work, especially the first time you try it. Normal people don't have schedules that allow them to jump into something like that at the drop of a hat, especially if you can't even wait to give them a weekend.
2. When you say on Jan 15th that you want something Feb 1, you can't then turn around and be surprised that no one's busted their ass to give you something on Jan 18.
3. What's with all these "how come no one's responded yet" posts and emails whenever you have a thread? Do you see anyone else doing that? Relax!
4. I like making lists.
5. When people do get free time, they already have their own projects waiting, you can't expect yours to take instant priority, especially not in the first few days. There's a good chance that at least a couple people will help you out with this project, because it sounds like fun, but putting in hours of free work is a sacrifice and they're doing you a favor. If you act like you're naturally entitled to it instead of appreciative, people are likely to reconsider the number of free hours they're going to set aside for you between now and Feb 1.

Rayhawk's right. Not only does animation take a ton of time and work, but those of us who do it generally already have some project that we're working on. Basically, you're asking us to make a movie for you.

1) I would have PM'd some people to see if there was any interest. If there was a definite interest, I would have created a thread saying that I was going to create a music video using stop-motion animation. I would say that I planned to do this by myself, but that if others wanted to submit clips, they would be more than welcome. This way, if no one turns up, I'll still make the music video.

2) I would create a contest for the best music video. Bingo. Other dudes make the video, you get to watch it. I would, however, supply a nice prize. Perhaps Legos.

3) I would do it myself, since I'm a better animator than anyone else on the face of the earth. (Just kidding, by the way.)
