Music and instruments

I know a few people here play instruments and things, so I was wondering if anyone was in a band or had recordings of music they did?

I bring it up because my band started recording some stuff today during band practice. I play guitar and sing. It's a mixture of hardcore punk and some metal influence, too. A lot of screaming in it, just to warn you.

It may not be many of you people's cups o' tea, but go ahead and take a look at this video of a show we did a few months ago.

I play a mad air-guitar hero, which is like air guitar, but you only have to move four fingers.

I play guitar, mainly electric... also sing a bit

I also used to be in a band, but Im the kind of person that likes almost every kind of metal, power, trash, celtic, death, melodic, folk, etc... my band was a bunch of pussies! They were all about Snow Patrol, Coldplay and that stuff, not that I don't like, but I wouldnt like to be in that kind of band, besides, when I talked about AC/DC covers they were on their limits, and when I mentioned Metallica or Hammerfall or wth, they said it was to heavy for them...

Im planning on making a band with some of my best friends which actually enjoy good music. We havent recorded anything yet because we still need a drummer and bassist... we do have about 2 or 3 songs with lyrics and riffs completed though...

I can't hear your singing at all unless you're screaming. I like your guitarist and the beginning of your song is really sick, but your verses and whatnot don't sound very imaginative. I think clearing up your vocals could do you wonders. Also please please tell your bandmates not to do that boneriffic "running in place" kicky-dance, it makes you look like a bunch of poser crabcore tools.

I too was in a similar situation as Bfenix, for i was once in an all-girl indie band. We called ourselves Goat. I haven't been to this site in forever, but I'm responsible for most of "of a bear". I'm suprised that we actually added "beep beep boop boop", because i totally did not think we actually recorded that, ahahahahaha. Anyways, I'm playing guitar for all these songs, and they'd always get pissed off at me during recording because I'd start busting out a mad metal riff, and then they would throw things at me for playing metal.

As of now I'm not playing with anyone, but I'm definitely not opposed to the idea. I really should just hop onto craigslist and find some people to jam with, unless I end up finding a drummer who's actually into metal.

So I have to assume that this preceded your current gender assignment.

Not bad.
But I keep wanting it to go faster, seems just too slow, even for the style that it is.

@Oneeye: It sounds pretty good, but you can't hear your regular vocals at all. The guitars and drums sound really sweet though.

@HIV.. I mean IVH: That sounds pretty awesome, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :godwin:

I used to be in a band, but we didn't end up getting far. We actually started coming up with a song and got about 1/4 finalized, but then we just split.

Also we didn't have a singer, and both guitarists thought about being temporary vocalists, but neither of them were very good. I honestly think I can sing ok, but I can never do it in front of anyone. Most of the singing I do takes place either in the shower, or listening to the radio when I'm home alone.

As of now I only play drums, I've been playing for about 2 years but I've never taken a lesson, my kit is just a basic CB kit and doesn't sound very good, and my neighbours now have a baby, so I've only played like twice in the past 4 months or so.

I'm also thinking of learning to play bass, or getting back into piano since we have one in our garage.
