That's a clever joke. :)

I find myself desperately wanting to play a game of brikwars, is there any way that we could start planning one in socal?

Depends on how far people are willing to drive, and put up with players way outside their age group. If I remember right there're folks in Simi, Thousand Oaks, Pasadena, Silverado Cyn, and San Diego. A couple more might be scrapped together out of the Lugola members, and IV was starting up some kind of college BW group in San Diego.

Lugola used to have most of their meetings out in Monrovia, but they've been having them in the OC or vicinity a lot more often lately. You might try organizing something for one of their meetings; that'll provide a safer venue and decrease the opportunities for axe-weilding pedophiles.

Lugola currently does all their organizing through their Yahoo group, as far as I can tell, so that's the place to start. Even if none of the existing members want to join in the battle themselves, I bet they wouldn't mind playing host to a guest battle.

attempting to start up. To be fair, i doubt it'll get past the "this is a good idea stage", but that's farther than most of us here have gotten!

I currently have no car. If I could somehow get some form of transportation I would be down for a game in SoCal. Would I need to supply my own briks and armies?

Well I'm always up for a game. I live in Norco, its right at the 91/15 interchange. As for getting to a game I'll drag someones carcass to an event, though i only have comfortable space for 1 passenger('77 ford mustang II). Hell I'd even host.

true we do need to plan a game for so cal, mainly we need an agreable meting location. and date/time is also fundamental in puling off a game.

as for norco like any sense, weather it be hearing, sight, or in this case smell you don't notice it after a'while, if at all. frankly i used to live in chino back when there were still dairies. so the effluvia resulting from the arse of a horse is less than that of a cow due the digestive system of the animal in question.

well pursuant to some of us getting together in southern california for some games, i saked one of the local gaming stores called GMI games and collectables. to see if they would be willing to have us hold turnaments or just play. the answer was yes, though for tournaments it would be $5 a head, for those wishing to participate and that to have the tounaments we would have to have a list of dates that would be usable, so that we could come to the most agreable date.

So would we be bringing our own armies and crap or what?

If it's during summer I'm down.

they have standard wargaming terrain, so if we use that we only have to bring our armys. if however we mainly want to go lego city then we would probably have to bring our own stuff

All I'd be bringing is armies anyways, I'm not too huge on the terrain construction past "let's set up cardboard boxes over here".

Do they just have standard warhammer crap? That's all more or less the same scale as minifig stuff.
