Thanks for the comments BFenix, IVhorseman, and aoffan.

Not to make excuses, but the first verse thing with the sung vocals instead of screamed I was quiet. If you can tell, the guitarist and drummer got off from eachother and I was trying to get them back on together.

It could just be a conflict in tastes for the verse thing, IV. A lot of my music is repetitive in places and I really enjoy screaming.

We do all listen to Attack Attack!, too. We don't seriously do crabcore though. This was at my guitarist's school, so he was most likely mocking the people who you could see dancing around at the end.

Ugh, TELL ME ABOUT IT! That's the complaint I kept telling them, but they just demanded more Casio Keyboard and drawn out intros that were too long.

Oneeye, I suppose it may just be a conflict of tastes as you say, but i guess what i'm trying to get at is that everything just sounded like it mushed together into one big shitty amplified scream.

Oh, that's most likely the camera. There's lots of variation in my scream, the guitar riffs, etc. Just hard to hear on this I guess.

No, I'm definitely taking mic quality into account here too. Turn down your trebble and gain knobs, and leave the Bass knob for the bassist to blast. Distortion is cool and all, but you guys abuse it a bit too much.

Oh, we didn't own the mics. It was a music festival thing, so it was someone else's PA.

We do, but they mess around with the levels a lot.

My guitar is a baritone and I just do palm muted power chords through the entire thing, so the treble on my side is pretty pointless and I hardly ever have to worry about it. On my stuff I usually have bass and middle up to about 7 or 8, mid being a bit higher, then the treble at about 5. I don't know about the other guitarist, but it's far more shrill on the video because of the camera.
