The Dwarf Mine is so awesome
Holy crap, talk about a good set. The design for the mine carts is pretty genius, and there's a decent amount of weaponry and armour. The main think that pleased me was the lack of "special" pieces. The designer did a great job of using plain old bricks for this, and it makes me happy that when I eventually dismantle it I'll actually reuse 90% of the parts.

One of the things I like about the set are all the little things that come with it. Some of which you can't even tell by looking at the box.
For example, the hidden kitchen in the base of the mountain, complete with fireplace, table, goblet, and turkey leg. Also in the front there's a blacksmith's forge with an anvil and workbench. Things like this are what make well-designed Lego sets extra fun to build.
My favorite part of the whole thing though is the mountain king with his golden helmet and war hammer. This set is hands down my favorite in years and I'm glad it has it's own thread. Just awesome.
