The Immortal War - With a cast of thousands... of Mini-Figs

Post by Warhead » Mon Aug 16, 2010 1:46 pm

Much of this is old Lego I've had for more than 20 years, I had to do a lot of hard work to afford it even back then. Now I have a job I find I can modernise my Lego and expand a little.

I wanted to take stock of what I had and what I still needed to complete stuff and thought this would be a fun way to go, before I got so bored and just took the damn pictures before finishing. Lots of teams are still to be suitably finished (weapons etc) and I ran out of heads. I have no idea how many there are. In Maniac there is one, many, lots, loads and Urgh. I think I have Urgh mini-figs.

Bits. Most are disassembled Immortals waiting for cool up to date parts.

Image

Those legs are all loose, Sometimes swapping them can help stiffen them up.

Image

The Immortal Wallies. Hey look! J+B and Runny. If your Sig Fig has a faction then they'll be standing with them.

Image

Some of the old Immortals in need of renovation. The completed ones are at the back.

Image

Immortal Maniacs, again they're not all present or equipped. I done everyone's teams and then got fed up when it came to mine.

Image

Mini-Warhead on his own pet Pterodactyl.

Image

A unit of Terrorkhan. Check the flag out.

Image

Some Gunners, loaned from the Thunderchild.

Image

Image

Stubby and the other Mini-Fig Sig Figs from the past few months. See, I still have them.

Image

Sig-Figs U.S.A, the troopers have grey hands and cool black flack jackets.

Image

Lots of incomplete troops waiting for parts. BoB and Silva and the BoBites.

Image

I had to get inventive with so many heads short, clockwork knights!

Image

1x1 round stud in the helmet base and then shove/force the binocs through the slit, watch you don't snap the chin guard, only one snapped for me. It sits snug in the helmet and attaches to the mini-fig head easily. Ideally it needs some sort of neck thing as there is a gap.

These guys are like the Prince Barons Forrest Men from Flash Gordon... man, you guys have not a clue what I am talking about.

Image

The Knights are ordinary. But what's behind him?..

Image

SMOKING T-REX!!! With an Almighty Benny too!

Image

A mish-mash of rag tag one off mini-figs.

Image

Wild Headhunter picts.

Image

Cyclops

Image

Dungans, and a Techno-Troll.

Image

An un-finished and un-nammed blue faction and Prof Sharkheads Minions with Capt. Zipps Time Travelling Super Jews behind.

Image

Image

Shadowscythes Scythian Marines, and Ross_Varns FELC now almost complete update to follow.

Image

Image

Elmagnifico's Gamma Corps

Image

Image

RoC's 45th Union.

Image

Image

Piltogg and his Akkadians. IVhorseman's Iceworlders with TWO cyber polar bears!!! Manly Fuckin' Santa and the Manly Men. You may also see some of Arkbriks army in the back too, sorry Arkbrik.

Image

Peach Liberation Force or CloneTards.

Image

Peach Command

Image

Image

Image

Britannian League

Image

Tuefish's VOL, as lead by the Daemon Prince.

Image

Assyrians, with three hover bikes still to finish. Note the Battle Armour at the back.

Image

Gludavian Raiders!!!

Image

DSM younglings...

Image

DSM, many have been cannibalised for parts in the Immortals so this is perhaps only half. The rows of airtanks and helmets show that there were once a lot more DSM.

Image

The Iron Golems.

Image

The Blood Daemons and their minions.

Image

Image

Zombie Lincoln and the Undead Deadly Spacemen and a ton of skeletons and some zombies.

Image

Image

Zombie Micheal Jackson and not Space Orcs but Gnoll Assassins (not the dog Gnoll from D+D but from Warlords Rising III PC game).

Wow, I sit here in awe at the vast horde.

I am first impressed by the number and then by the scope. You have built a nice collection covering so many of the factions. Very nice.

I also take note of the great collection of base plates that are there in support of your vast collection. Nice.

Just curious, how long did it take you to set them all up to take these photos?

The cool part is, I actually do. I have the entire collection of the original comics.
Those and this are :ftw: You never ever cease to amaze. I can only imagine the battlefield necessary to hold all of this epic. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Hahaha, I'm now envious of your comic collection. I've taken Mini-Warhead to Forbidden Planet, a large comic store in Glasgow a few times so I can get him into comics. A classic education is important.

@Daniel: I had a lot of clearing and sorting to do after ZZD which is when I started this. The set up took about two weeks on and off between work and home life. I took my time. I also have some more baseplates to add.

EDIT: My new project after safely tidying this lot away and only leaving out those still to be finished is to build Fico. I have so many ideas.

 that's amazing but you have had like 70 years to collect legos (how old are you? 50, 60, 70,) and your own job your own money while most of the kids here are well under 18 and have no job so no income of there own and less time to collect. but still that is awesome!

Thanks Krus, yeah it is a little insane.

Oreo, you gave me a sig-fig request on 31st July, some people have been waiting a hell of a lot longer with more manners and patience than you. Me! Me! Me! Someone save him before I rid the world of another whining tweenager.

@Silva: BoB is the true Messiah Dimmies, and yes, since ZZD where you pledged your allegiance to BoB, just as you did in the Forum as it is recorded in the Wiki you are a creature of BoB. Thus it was and thus it shall be, so speaketh the voice of BoB.
