More teasing:
I did these last weekend I had no work thur/fri/sat/sun.
Back of the hand needs some smoothing still.

Front
He stands 5'-0" to top of stud
Head stud 4"x4"
ground is 3'x3'

Sample Terrain 3'x3' spaces
6"x6" studs
I may switch to 4'x4' spaces and maybe down to 4"x4" studs
Image

Right now a 1x1 brick is 12"x12"x12" with a 6" stud.
This might go to 8"x8"x8" and 4" studs, this would be more in proportion to Lego, but thats not the reason I would do it.

The conversion to my scale is very close to 1mm=1" (lego to mine)

Thanks. Next step is to rig it with bones and adjust the mesh.
I've never done that before so it will take a while. Also the thick plastic arms are not bend friendly.

So, are you planning to make a game (or something along those lines) with this?

Well I'd like to, but its really a massive amount of time to do that. For the last three years I've been getting good pay and banking it. So maybe when the work runs out I take my time finding a new job and do the game.

Its also possible that when the architect I'm doing contract work for retires (he is currently about 70), he may reffer people to me. Then I could be making what he does, which is mid 6 figures. So I'm a bit reluctant to stop working with him.

Anyway the simple game plan is make a Tactics style turn based, multiplayer networked, skirmish game. The player gets to layout his home base plate with terrain.

That sounds awesome. AWESOME.

Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

I have the rest of your life to anticipate this, then I'll still have fifteen years to play. Unless they invent holograms, I guess.

Nevertheless, that sounds awesome.

Not bad, although I'd change the toes. they look like they could break off very easily.

Hey, Tzan. NecroBump! This is far too interesting to be gathering dust in the back end of oblivion. I love the look of this fig, how will the arms pivot with that angle? So, where you at with this project? Update Input please!

Well I was going to wait a few weeks til I could show the WorldBuilder working, but all the pee pressure got to me.

I quit working for the summer so I could make some progress on this. Mid June til end of September. But I get interrupted by jobs I started that need changes. Like right now I've got a weeks worth of work in front of me.

I'm using the Unity game engine.
I've written about 25 C# classes.
Game states
hacked in temp GUI which will be changed later
terrain types
resource loading
mesh combining to increase FPS
BasePlates, spaces, 1 baseplate is 32x32 spaces, 1 space is 3 feet. On a real world game table 1 space would be about 1 inch, so 1 baseplate is about 32"x32"

I'm working on the WorldBuilder first, you'll be able to change terrain types and raise/lower the spaces in 3" increments ( 1 plate). Then I'll make a save/load for a baseplate. Nothing worse than making something and not being able to save it (like that EveryoneEdits thing).

So after all that... it still doesn't do much :)
But getting some core thinking and programming done helps.

After the above is done I'll probably have a few more weeks to add something else before hitting the work again.

Oh and the figures joints will all bend as expected, like a real live boy.
