Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer

Post by feuer_faust » Thu May 08, 2008 8:05 am

So... any of you play? I refer, of course, to the dungeon crawler that came out on the Nintendo DS. I know, a decent-esque game on the DS? Suspicious.

If anything, this games is best described as Advanced Rogue... which means that I enjoy the crap out of it. :D

Also, awaiting a rescue from level 11 (yay for DS wi-fi).

I did check out the other two, Pokie and Izuna.
I really need to finish Okami first anyway.

Alakazam:
“Its brain can outperform a supercomputer. Its intelligence quotient is said to be 5,000.”

Hah.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

Ever? Its defenses would like a word. And its HP.

incredibly high speed. all you need is one good hit, and with Sp. Attack flying through the ceiling, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

Ahh, good times. I never really payed attention to stats, but Alakazam was pretty much invincible. I cloned him six times at level 100. Shortly after, I lost my copy of Pokemon Silver.

Sigh.

Until someone uses a psychic of there own and destroys your alakazam. That's why it's borderline, also you have to trade to evolve it, and everyone doesn't trade alakazams back these days.

Marowak is better also

It also loses to Endure+Reversal, which is on pretty much every Heracross. It also loses to special tanks, which everyone has. Also, although 120 base speed is nothing to laugh at, there are still some better.

My alakazam knows shadow ball, which is a ghost attack, making it super effective vs. psychic. it also knows Focus blast, which is a high-power FIGHTING attack, so it can even take out dark types. of course it's not a one-man show, but i've got 5 other pokemon in a party. i can afford a weakness to... every bug.

What's so good about Marowak? Bone rush and bonemarang are okay, but i consider ground to be one of the weakest elements in the whole game (weak to water AND grass, two of the most common types. good electric killer though).

Not to mention ice. Ground did suck though only good thing about it was earthquake.

I think my team was going to have Sycther, Weavile, Porygon-Z, Shuckle, Lucario, Gallade
