Trepidation

Post by Olothontor » Thu Oct 21, 2010 1:37 pm

I have a 20 minute set I've got to put together for a gig coming up on the tenth of November, and I'm feeling a bit strapped for material. I'm trying to write a new instrumental piece, but I'm not sure where to take it... all I have is this.

I'd love to hear any suggestions on what direction you guys think the piece should head.

EDIT: Bonus, since I don't feel like posting a new thread for this.

Sounds so nice. Really calm and melodic, nice song as usual Olly :)
Theres really not much into it and yet sounds really great, maybe now a 2nd guitar tuned up with a nice solo with go well with it.

Also, may I ask for a tab (if you have it). I might want to make a... heavier version of this 8)

I can certainly type one up at some point. It's really just arpeggiated chords, although some of the chords I "made up" xD

Your tab, BFenix.

I'd love to see what you do with it, please keep me informed :)

It's all pretty basic stuff, just fiddling around, but I really like the sound of it. I may add some golpe and string hits just to spice it up, though (obviously those are near impossible on an electric, but I'm just saying).

Many thanks
I think with some tweaking this might turn out great :D

Should I keep you posted on my progress as well? I have the beginnings of lyrics jumbling around in my head... which probably makes you sad, but ah well.

So far all I have is one bit of verse, but I think I really like it:

And now
Tears of fire
Are raining down
Down below

EDIT: Check that, added some:

Here
All my mem'ries
Forgotten thoughts
Still remain

Sun
Gently falling
Between the hills
Lights her face

Love
Ends in sorrow
And in tears
we refrain

EDIT: That came out ridiculously tinny, not sure why. Sorry :/
