The battles of Moronstudios

Post by Moronstudios » Sat Dec 08, 2007 1:11 pm

Welcome, you may not have heard of us, that is because all the ways we have tried to tell you about us have failed
On to the fights

Inferno
A fast paced match of one army trying to kill a mayor, the other to protect him. Named due to the destructiveness of the fire mage. There was much death.

Campaign
A thought out series of battles linked by stories, didn't work out.
1st: a tiny skirmish which lasted longer then it should have
2nd: Vikings raid Brikinville, not big enough army
3rd: Knights take of with crown, undead try to stop them

There have been other battles, but some are on the website. These are just some the better ones. We only have two players , with rare exceptions.

Well I'm already a fan. I didn't have time to read the whole thing, so I mostly looked at the pictures. I must say I'm really liking the guy with the bandana on his head.

Also, the Lego guys wearing the Megabloks Dragon armor was pretty badass. My favorite was the red guy with the sunglasses guarding the treasure.

Also also, I will be rooting for the Chef to kill some people with cooking appliances because that's just how I am.

Sorry about that! Your battle reports came in right after I'd given up on the current newsfeed (Movable Type troubles) and I wasn't able to post anything right away. It went up in the livejournal feed though:

http://brikwars.livejournal.com/13812.html

So at least a couple people have seen it. Pretty soon now I'm switching the frontpage of the website to post the livejournal feed instead of the MT one, and hopefully things can get back to running smoothly.

Cool site. nice battles. But can I make a few suggestions? First off, smaller images would be nice cause' the larger images are kinda blurry and it's kinda unerving seeing a big picture of face, I'm not saying your ugly, it is just sorta, startling. It's also kinda hard to figure out which image responds to which caption.
But overall, nice job and I wish there were more sites like yours.

Man I love the MS-Paint style graphics in these, they crack me up every time. I used to be kind of embarrassed about my love for heroes with Lego heads on Mega Bloks torsos, but I just keep seeing such good examples.

Allowed? Anything's allowed as long as it doesn't break THE RULES. I think they pretty much cover every possible situation.

Strangely enough. I liked the out-of-focus-ness of the first set of pics. It evoked the idea of a battle photographer, barely able to stay standing, while snapping important images of history.

Awesome! Inferno was particularly cool... Although, needs more fire... I noticed you had a mere two pieces in the big fire scene... Good though. Great page. Me and Dan (the only person in the history of my area that has a lego collection fit for such games) will be making a similar one, and posting links periodically. Keep it up, by the way.

Momentarily means now: Fantastic. Your best yet. I really like the fire mage's flame element... Could make a decent staff out of that. I'm partial to mages, which means I don't like using them because they die... Moving on: Your lucky to have people over that like to play. In any case: Photos were well done, and I suggest the captions being placed on the bottom... I unno, just a thought. Nice heros... Also: What was the Kung Fu master using after he broke the chain? That would be two hand weapons, correct? Keep me updated, looking foreward to the next one.
