Manly Santa Day Apoc 2010

Post by MrBlobJr » Sat Dec 18, 2010 7:36 pm

It's been a while since I've been on here.....

Anyways. Every year around Manly Santa Day-time, my brothers get all of our Legos together and have a HUGE war. When I say HUGE, I mean at least 300 minifigs tops with as many vehicles as we can possibly fit onto the battlefield. This year will be no exception. Except for the fact that it will be Brikwars style.

And you'll have to wait for updates as we haven't started the battle yet.

(Captions are BELOW Pictures!)

Image

Enjoy, and sorry for the crap quality of pics.

Image

The frontlines. The two armies are only separated by a mere baseplate's length.

Image

My main force. About a hundred strong.

Image

Reinforcements across the 'ocean'. This adds an extra 80 meat carcases to my main army's 100.

Image

Air support, in the form of 3 biplanes, a small helicopter, and a Bell UH-1 Huey (Not pictured)

Image

My brothers' army. Around 100 strong, including reinforcements. I obviously have the advantage in numbers here.

Image

Brothers' air support. The Star Wars dropship you see in the top left corner is full of suicide bombers. (Five to be exact.)
The orange helicopter has acid bombs which will probably prove to be a major pain in the arse.

Image

Meager reinforcements.

So yeah. Stay tuned for carnage 'n stuff.

Turn One

Image

Movement. I won't dull you with pictures of each individual unit advancing, so here are a few good overviews.

Image

Main Overwatch. I planned to advance my troops in waves, so that not all would die immediately.

Image

Zak Bagans from Ghost Adventures picks up the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

Image

Chuk Noris faces off against my brother's cyber dragon.

Image

Flying Jetpack Suicide pig! You can see from this angle, but he's got dynamite shoved up his gut to explode when ever he feels like.

Brothers' Turn

Image

First blood (?) A demon is hit by a rocket.

Image

Indiana Jones attempts an Indiana Jones feat! He plans to use his whip to pull the dragon down to earth to kill both guys on the ground as well as the dragon! Will he succeed?

Image

He does, killing himself, the dragon, as well as five other minifigs! Chuk Noris leaped to safety, however.

Image[

Jetpack Piggy gets blocked from his target by a dusty old necromancer.

Image

The Dinosaur mounted cannon is fired, killing one of my heroes, a giant.

Image

Bazooka Girl kills one of my heroes at point blank range, killing him, as well as her.

Image

A horse is killed by the Power Miner drill, but the rider manages to bail.

Image

One of my brother's heroes attempts a Heroic Feat....Using the Farce to pull down my Huey gunship on top of my guys in an attempt to kill one of my most powerful units - The Dragon Shape-Shifter! (More details on him later.)

Image

And succeeds.....Killing about 5 plus the Shape Shifter. Amazingly, everyone in the helicopter survived.

Image

Image

Suicide bombers drop from the dropship and commence to blow up everything in sight.

Image

They kill about three, including another Hero, Zombie Lincoln.
You can see the downed dragon in the background.

Image

Sharks kill reinforcements in the boats.

Image

Overwatch. A lot of carnage is visible, including the dragon.

My turn!

Image

Manly Santa (Also a hero) throws some dynamite and kills about everyone in that defense tower.

Image

Another hero is killed - A necromancer.

Image

You can't see it, but the door gunner from the Huey fires his Orange Transparent Chainsaw Launcher, and kills the dinosaur.

Image

Shots are fired into the ranks of the enemy, killing a few.

Image

Heroes are being killed left and right...

Image

Jetpack Piggy explodes causing no damage.

Image

Will the Random floats over to the defensive wall and prepares to perform some magik......But what could he do?

Image

Why, turn the defenders into flowers, of course! 7 of the 9 defenders are now flowers.

Image

Overwatch at the end of my turn.

Image

Carnage!

Not pictured: Joan of Arc resurrects all of my dead heroes as well as my shape shifter.

End of Turn One

Turn Two

Image

Overwatch of beginning of Turn Two

Image

All along the wall....

Image

They're breaking through....

Image

Boats chug steadily onward....As one of my brother's jets makes a suicide run.

Image

More units advance.

My turn:

Image

The rest of the defenders are killed...

Image

The Knight you see in the top lest corner Critical Failed on shooting the cannon, and ends up shooting down my own helicopter.

Image

Someone else has more success in killing the Clones troopers...

Image

Another Peach walker is desecrated by a missile from a biplane.

Image

The Elephant charges the wall, wrecking it and killing about three defenders.

Image

Manly Santa's dragon breathes fire at some dynamite in an attempt to blow up the last hero...

Image

Don't try this at home! The pilot from one of my biplanes hops out onto the wing of his plane and kill the pilot of my brother's dropship.

End of my turn.

Image

My brother starts it off with a bang - kamikaze-ing his fighter into a bunch of my reinforcements.

Image

The helicopter shoots a bunch of acid into where my guys are......

Image

Four are killed instantly.

Image

Other of the units advance in the other direction to the rear wall for a last stand...(They're pansies!)

Image

Image

A mortar hits, killing three.

Image

The dragon falls back to the defensive perimeter.

Image

A tank and a small hoverbike fire at the Deadly Spaceman Hero....

Image

Ending his reign of terror.

End of Turn Two

Image

Main Overwatch

Image

Carnage. Death. Destruction.

Image

More of the above.

Image

Even more.

Image

Lots of carnage.

Total Death Toll so far: About 100 from what I can tell. This is only including minifigs.

So yeah.....Expect the next few turns sometime this week and the next.

Smooth gameplay?

Don't quibble.

I mean, seriously. Don't. Law of fudge is in full effect on this scale.

hey your back!

good luck. you might want to do turn overviews instead of in-depth "every death" pictures. it will cut the photo time down by a crap load.

Thank you everyone for all of the suggestions and replies!

We are in the midst of Turn One, and I should have it posted by Monday.

Should I just edit the main post of the thread, or start a whole new one when I add the Turn One?

What's wrong with explosions chucking minifigs in every direction? They make perfect shrapnel.

The only time I ever tried to run one this big, it failed utterly, as we started across the room from each other, and it took freaking forever just to get into range. But you started pretty close, so you shouldn't have a similar problem.
