:necro: again.

I'm in the middle of two Lego phases: tan buildings, and stuff made with rare/less common colours. I currently have a tan chapel and an orange jalopy built, with a lime green jalopy in progress. Today I looked at my pile of medium blue, and I thought, why the fuck not?

So I built a mech.

Image

I used every medium blue piece I have, except for a pair of legs that I would've used if I knew where they were, and my technic and Bionicle pieces. It doesn't have a name, and I can't be assed to think of one, so for now it's just called Blumek.

It was inspired by Cpt. Zipps' Al-Kind-Of walking tank.

Image

Gun detached. Blumek can't actually wield it its hands, but this is too good of a pose to resist.

Image

Custom glyph.

After I built the mech, I had these three plates left over, and I just had to make this. Yes, I know winged skulls are insanely overused, but :idc:

Image

"Now what does that hand think it's doing in my picture?"

Apologies for the blurry/fucking terrible pics, my sister took her camera to Universe City. :C

I do plan to post pictures of the stuff I mentioned at the beginning, but that will have to wait for a bit.

C&C and all that jazz.

*ahrm*

Aoffan, the mek looks good. You certainly pulled the construction of the leg off a lot better than I could. Cheers.

Yeah, the mech is really nice. Is it baby blue or sand blue?

It's light blue, but it's apparently called medium blue, even though I've never seen a lighter blue in Lego. :mystery:

And don't anyone be clever and say "white is a lighter blue".

White is a more racist blue.

That's an interesting color choice. I find black, baby blue, and gold to be a solid color scheme.

Huh, that sounds really cool. But like I said, I just like to build with my odder colours, and I usually save my more useful colours for more serious projects.

I still need to think of a way to use my turquoise pieces. :phil:

I'd love to experiment with teal, but sadly I have only 3 1x2 bricks and a single minifig arm in teal.

I'm interested in the fins and the headlight bricks.

:necro: again, again. Told you I would keep using this.

I've gone on a vehicle building spree. I'll show you 4 right now, but I still have 3 1/2 other ones.

Image
Left to right: Big tan truck, grey car, brown truck, super-light aircraft. I'm creative with names, aren't I?

Image
First off, the big tan truck. This is actually an older one, I built it months ago, back when I had an idea for a road battle. Then I lost my motivation and ADD'd myself over to another idea.

Image
Rear with opening hatch and caltrop launchers. There's supposed to be another of those brown fence pieces in between the two plates, but I have no idea where it went. :mystery:

Image
Hatch open, it can fit troops inside. The windows on the back serve as firing ports.

Image
Top view.

Image
Side view.

In case you're wondering, there's no interior to take pictures of. It can't even fit a minifig.

Image
This is a grey car/jeep I made. I wanted to make a RoC-style vehicle. This one can fit a minifig.

Image
Side view. I really wish those panels came in dark bley.

Image
Back with spare tire.

Image
Top.

Image
GRILLE ACTION.

Image
My personal favourite, the brown truck. It can also hold a minifig.

Image
Side view.

Image
Back. This can carry troops, cargo, or whatever. I have a machine gun I built to put in the back, but it's not in the picture.

Image
MOAR GRILLE ACTION.

Image
Driver's seat.

Image
I'm not going to lie, I have absolutely no idea what this is. I wanted to make a helicopter, and then this happened.

Image
Side.

Image
Rear.

Image
Top view, this is my favourite shot of the thing. I want to name it after some sort of gull, but can't think of a good one.

C&C and such. God I get tired of saying that.

Dangit, now I want to build an awesome jeep and troop truck.

MOAR

I have 7 chicken leg pieces. I had no idea what to do with them, and then I came up with this.

Image
Image

It's a giant beetle! I had modded the PQ scarab into a spider (with six legs  ), but it was too black :godwin: and was kind of bland. So modded it some more and made it ossum!
