I know it's been suggested before, but it might be better to have two different areas hosted; one in the United States and the other in Europe. A lot of our players are younger, and I find it unlikely that some would seriously be able to take a plane trip here for some Brikwars. It'd be a bit easier and more affordable to host different games instead of just one.

Also, this could be instead of a one-day event, make it an additional day. Then we'd be able to trade pieces, minfigs, etc. ;)

I agree on the more than one day concept. This way, it will be more worth the effort for the people who came a long way. The only problem would be that every single person would need to pay for a hotel or such as well, but that wouldn't be a gigantic problem.

I also think it should be held near a Lego store, or at least a store with lots of Lego. That way, people will be able to do a bit of shopping while they're there, and it could be a good way to add to the carnage.

Or just go to a Target and buy stuff from there.

By lots I don't mean Target or Wal-Mart, although they might have decent stock. I'm talking Toys 'R' Us, or some sort of store based around creative toys (e.g. Mastermind).

Ah, right. We do have a couple of TrU's.

Hell, I don't know why I'm volunteering St. Louis. I don't even know if I can get a hosting venue, although I've wanted to do this for a while.

IMO it should be held in someones home... why pay for hotels and expensive shit? Just help the host with whatever he needs, expenses, cleaning, etc...

There is no way we can cram 10+ people into 1 house for more than a day, besides parents would object
Fire, Fire, burning bright
Burning down the house tonight

Heroism is not the ability to kick ass. It is the willingness to use this ability on any poor bastard who so much as looks at you funny.

Ok this may sound silly but remember most areas that I know of have a local camp ground we could probably pack tents we would get the fun of camping not have to pay for hotels and still brikwarr in the morning.

The home thing could work on the EU-game though. But who's house this would be?

Not silly at all, state campgrounds are an excellent alternative to expensive hotel rates.

St. Louis is a really good plan for the USA people. Some Canadians might be able to come too.

But seriously we need an indoors venue.

If you took a plane you wouldn't be allowed to take it with you. Hmmm
