I always wanted the colossal red dragon, but never got the chance to buy it because I was always buying other minis. Not to mention that a Great Wyrm red dragon would be insanely hard to fight even for a high level party and it probably would have ended up on dispaly on my shelf, doomed to collect dust for all eternity...
FInally, I found some pics that will actually work! Here's the gold and red dragons:
Like I said, these minis are super hard to find now, unless you ebay them. The red isn't as expensive anymore, since the Against the GIants set had a second version, but the gold usually runs anywhere from 60-100 dollars.
Sorry, that was the best pic I could find. And in truth, the gold and red dragons are Huge-sized minis, which are smaller than the Gargantuan-sized ones. Huge-sized minis could actually be found in booster packs, whereas the Gargantuan minis had to be bought in boxed sets.
I bought both of my gargantuan figs from a Borders bookstore. Your best bet to find one now is on ebay or Noble Knight Games.com. Noble Knight was perhaps the best online store for buying minis and wargaming supplies; as they carry pretty much every brand known to mankind....
Yes, they had some of the best prices on the internet when it came to D&D minis. And Star Wars. And Mechwarrior. And possibly every wargame/miniatures game ever.
